Patricia A. Sprinkle, 78, passed away Jan. 16, 2011, at The Margaret T. Morris Center in Prescott, Ariz., with her loving son at her side. She was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota where she was a member of the Phi Beta Cappa. She worked for Hallmark Cards and then General Mills, which led her to Kansas City where she met her husband Donald.
They married and moved to Overland Park, Kan., where they started a family and had two children.
In 1975, she lost her husband. She raised two small children by herself and became a licensed insurance agent and took over the Sprinkle Insurance Agency. In 1998, after many successful years, she sold the business and retired. In June 2006, she moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz., to spend her remaining years with her son.
Her passing will be not only a loss to her family, but to all who knew her. She not only was a loving, caring mother, but an inspiration and very successful businesswoman who was greatly respected for all of her accomplishments.
She leaves behind a son, Paul Sprinkle of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and a daughter, Marty Sprinkle of Overland Park, Kan.
The family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the Arthritis Association.
Private cremation services were at Mountain View Crematory in Prescott, Ariz.
