Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, January 19, 2011 Gail F. Thrasher, age 84, died Jan. 10, 2011 in Flagstaff, Ariz. He was born May 25, 1926 in Magnum, Okla. Gail joined the Navy and was a veteran of World War II. Then he went to work in the mines as a hard rock miner. His hobbies were camping and jalopy racing. He is survived by his daughters, Gail Salazar of Superior and Linda (John) Martin of Tucson; his sons, John Thrasher of Texas and Allen T. (Diana) Thrasher of Globe; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Neil Thrasher of Globe and his family; half-sister, Minnie Bush and family of Kansas; and half-brother, Bill Kelly and family of Oklahoma. Gail is preceded in death by his wife, Tennie Manues Thrasher, and his son, Doyle L. Thrasher. Memorial services are pending.
