Francisco T. Rodriguez, 52, passed away on January 6, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born April 10, 1951 in Santa Cruz, Mexico to Augustin and Elodia Rodriguez. He later resided in Patagonia, Arizona.
He attended school in Mexico and had a promising career in baseball. Frank enjoyed sports and loved his family. In 1972, Frank became a quadriplegic after an automobile accident. He never allowed his disability to get him down. He often commented that he was lucky. He prayed for people who were less fortunate than him.
Frank was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona. He devoted his life to God and to doing good for others.
He is survived by his father, Augustin of Patagonia, Arizona; his brothers and sisters, Luis (Emma), Martha (Ramon), Moises (Anna), Mario (Maria Elena), Alicia, Rosalva (Mario), Eduardo (Yolanda), Arturo (Norma), George (Anna), Sergio (Dorena), and Olivia (Eduardo); also many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends whom he cherished and who will miss him very much as well as wonderful health care professionals that he came to know as his friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elodia Talamante Rodriguez and his brothers Juan and Abelardo.
Visitation was held Friday, January 9, 2004 at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa, Arizona. Holy Rosary was recited at the mortuary Friday, January 9, 2004. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment followed the Mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona. Frank will always be remembered for his quick humor and for always seeing the brighter side of a situation.
