WOODS, Marshall Dee

Services will be held Sat, Jan. 10, 2004 for Marshall Dee Woods at the Longmore Rd. Baptist Church, 554 S. Longmore Rd., Mesa, AZ in remembrance of his life. Beloved brother, Marshall, 72, retired after 30 years as an engineer for the Nuclear Fuel Division of Westinghouse Corp. and died Tues., December 9, 2003 at home in Palm Coast, FL. Mr. Woods, an Air Force veteran, was born in Peoria, AZ and moved to Florida in 1990 from Greensburg, PA. While at Westinghouse, he worked on the NERVA Rocket Program and Clinch River Breeder Reactor Project. He received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona and master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Woods enjoyed fishing and chess. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sieglinde: a son, Roland, Smyrna, TN; a daughter Claudia LeBoeuf, Ellicott City MD.; a sister, Betty Cathy Woods Kirk, Mesa, AZ.; and four grandchildren. A military inurnment ceremony will be held later near Orlando, FL. Craig of Flagler Beach Mortuary, FIagler Beach, FL. was in charge. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/9/2004.
