Dorothy Wood, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, in Round Rock, Texas.
She was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to Fred and Hilda Kummer.
Dorothy married Robert Bennett Zaleski on Aug. 27, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., and together they raised four sons, Robert Jon Zaleski, William Fredrick Zaleski, Gary Bennett Zaleski and Don Charles Zaleski.
Dorothy later married Leonard Wood on July 24, 1999, in Prescott, Ariz. Both husbands and son William have preceded her in death.
Dorothy was an active member for many years in the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Sphinx Court No. 65, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Survivors include sons Robert Zaleski and wife Linda of Sun City, Ariz.; Gary Zaleski and wife Kathy of Lago Vista, Texas; and Don Zaleski and wife Connie Whittaker of Woodland Park, Colo. She has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. at Peoria Presbyterian Church Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. The Rev. Patricia Young will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to the Shriners Hospital, Fairfax at Virginia streets, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
The family would especially like to thank the entire staff at Hearthstone Health Center, Round Rock, Texas, as well as the caregivers at Odyssey Hospice, for the wonderful care and support they provided.
