WUNDERLICH, Robert (Bob) Gordon


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona January 21, 2011 5:00 am Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert "Bob" Gordon Wunderlich, 59, died Jan. 14, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colo. following a brief illness. Bob was born Sept. 9, 1951, in Nebraska City, Neb. to Robert West and Harriet Ann Wunderlich. Bob and Mary, his loving wife of nine years, moved to Creede, Colo. in 2007. He loved the outdoors and worked on trail maintenance for the US Forest Service for the past three years. He was an avid rock hound and found great joy working in his mine in the mountains above Creede. Other hobbies included making jewelry from rocks he had found, hiking, and restoring old cars. He was a member of Amethyst Masonic Lodge #94 AF & AM. Survivors include his wife, Mary Wunderlich of Creede, Colo.; son Robert Gordon Wunderlich Jr. of Denver, Colo.; daughter Jamie Lynn "Princess" Rogers (Paul) of Centennial, Colo.; sister Kathrin Wunderlich of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; son Jeremiah Ricketts (Jennifer) of Winnemucca, Nev.; daughter Amanda Ricketts of Show Low, and grandchildren Patrick and Isabelle Rogers of Centennial, EmaLee and Jeremiah Ricketts Jr., of Winnemucca, and Anthony and Ava Ricketts of Show Low. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother Ed Wunderlich. A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, at New Hope Church, 25268 W US Highway 160, in South Fork, with fellowship following at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in memory of Robert G.
