Lela B. Pfaff, 90, of Detroit, Michigan and Sun City, Arizona died January 1, 2004.
Mrs. Pfaff grew up in Oberlin, Ohio and married her college sweetheart, Henry A. Pfaff, just prior to World War II. Since the death of her husband in 1982, she had been spending her summers in Detroit and her winters in Arizona. Mrs. Pfaff was on the Board of the YMCA of Detroit, former Treasure of King's Daughters, a Christian philanthropic organization assisting the aged, former Treasure of Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and a lifetime member of Plum Hollow Country Club in the Detroit area.
Mrs. Pfaff is survived by her two sons, David of Scottsdale Arizona and Charles of Hilton Head, SC, three grandsons, Scott, Gregg and Christopher, and two great grandchildren, Samantha and Jake Pfaff and a sister, Ruby Worster of Cleveland, Ohio.
She will be placed to rest in the Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin, Ohio. Memorial services are pending in Oberlin at the Cowling Funeral Home. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
