ROUSSEAU,
Dorothy I.
Dorothy I. Rousseau, 88, died January 2, 2004 in Peoria, Arizona, where she had been a resident at Immanuel Campus of Care.
Born November 12, 1915 in Michigan where she married and bore six children: Janet and Gary O'Rourke (both whom preceded her in death); Sharron (O'Rourke) Warren of California and Kay (O'Rourke) Jardine of Washington State; later Douglas and Timothy McLaughlin (both of Arizona). She also became a beloved Grandmother to eight Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.
She held a variety of jobs throughout her life - primarily a homemaker, she worked as an automobile plant worker at the Chrysler Auto Foundry in Michigan; as an electronic assembler for Motorola here in Arizona; even as an assistant manager at Vandivier Lodge in Flagstaff, Arizona. Her widespread hobbies and interests included literature and poetry (of which she could recite purely from memory, even some of epic length) as well as a "green thumb" and could grow orchids as easily as garden vegetables.
She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. Services are private.
