Steven Paul Deschane, 53, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away January 8, 2004.
He was born in Hastings, Nebraska; graduated from Kearney High School, Kearney, Nebraska, and was employed as an engineer for the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad, Lincoln, Nebraska for twenty-three years. Mr. Deschane was a member of Scottsdale Fellowship and Friends of Bill W.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Heath. Survivors are his wife, Sandra Sue Deschane, Scottsdale; father, Peter Deschane, Kearney, Nebraska; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and John Richman, Lakewood, Colorado; brother and sister-in-law Philip and Karen Deschane, Lincoln, Nebraska, and brother, Brian Deschane, Kearney, Nebraska. Children: Jeremy Calhoun, Phoenix; Dustin Calhoun, San Diego, CA, Kasey Schaffer, Phoenix, and Steve and Aaron Deschane, Lincoln, Nebraska. Beloved Grandson, Zoey Mathew Schaffer; and Pug family: Chazz, Cydnie, CoCo and Cinderella. Steven's grandson, Zoey, was the center of his life.
Steven was an avid sportsman, and loved hunting and fishing. FamiIy would like to thank his extended family at Scottsdale Fellowship for all their love and support throughout the years. We will love you all the days of our lives.
Visitation was Sunday, January 11, 2004, at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road. A Memorial Service was held Monday, January 12, 2004, at Messinger Chapel.
