The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ January 01, 2006 Jeanne Elizabeth Dippold died Dec. 27, 2005, with her family by her side. She was born March 9, 1923, in Hickory, N.C., to Essie Mae and DeMos DeLane. Jeanne and her husband were residents of Decatur, Ill., for 16 years, where they were avid boating and water sports enthusiasts. They moved to Elmhurst, Ill., in 1962 where they lived until 1988, after which they moved to Rimrock. Jeanne was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, N.C. She was active in the Lutheran Church. She was involved with her children and their school activities including the PTA. She was an election judge for many years in Illinois. She loved animals, especially dogs. Her favorite pastime, to the delight of all who knew her, especially family, was her love of baking cookies, pies, cakes and most of all her homemade bread. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Mrs. Susan Martin, Mrs. Ann Boyd, Mrs. Nell Smith, Mrs. Rebecca Carew, Mrs. Louise Latta, and brother John DeLane. Jeanne is survived by her husband Milton W. Dippold whom she married in 1946, her three children, daughter Jane Moore of Jerome, sons Charles Dippold of Rimrock, and John Dippold of Rimrock. A private service was held at Bueler-Hepler Funeral Home with Rev. John Jenkins oficiating. Bueler-Hepler Funeral Home assisted the family.
