MASTELLER, Floyd Alex


Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on Sunday, January 23, 2011 - Floyd Alex Masteller, 85, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on April 15, 1925 in Minot, North Dakota to Guy and Fern Masteller. Floyd moved from North Dakota to Coeur d' Alene in 1940 and attended Coeur d' Alene High School before being drafted into the Army to serve during World War II. He married Bonnie McCallum on November 04, 1945. He went on to work for Metropolitan Life Insurance in 1952 before becoming a Farmers Insurance Agent. Floyd owned the Masteller's Agency for Farmers Insurance in Kellogg, Idaho for thirty years. Flloyd loved his family, RVing, Hooking rugs, and gardening. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Elks club for 50 years. He was also a member of the Eagles Aerie and the Allegro RV club. Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Bonnie; brother, Hugh Masteller of Seattle, WA.; children, Karen (Art) Cockburn of Spokane, WA., Rand (Bev) Masteller of Davenport, WA. and Amy (Arney) Wick of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; grandchildren, Dion Ricketts, Bonnie Cockburn,Laura Schiller, Ryan Masteller, Stephanie Wick and Kristen Faris and 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will beheld in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho at a later date. The family would like contributions made in Floyd's name to Coeur d' Alene Homes, 624 W.
