William E. “Bill” Lawry passed away Jan. 11 at Banner Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Ariz. He was born in Santa Rita, N.M., to William and Jewel Lawry on Nov. 24, 1928.

He is survived by his wife Joyce; daughters Darlene Gibson of Palermo, Calif.; Debbie Van Buren of Oroville, Calif.; sister Bobby Monroe of Meadow Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
 
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and worked many years for Caltrans in California. He was an early resident of North Ranch.
