Dorothy Roessler, born Aug. 15, 1930, in Glendale, Calif., passed away
Jan. 13, 2011.
Dorothy graduated Herbert Hoover High School in 1948 and married
Fredrick Jensen in 1949.
She worked in offices in administration and was inspired to earn her
nursing degree at the age of 40. She was hired as an original staff
member of the Betty Ford Center in 1982. While at Betty Ford, Dorothy
earned her counseling degree with a focus on drug and alcohol abuse.
Leaving Betty Ford to move to Prescott, Ariz., approximately 20 years
ago, Dorothy continued her work, promoting recovery at Prescott House
and Pia's Place until her retirement in 2005.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her son Stephen Jensen, and husbands
Jose Chacos and William Roessler. She is survived by her daughter
Karen; daughter-in-law Vanda; and four grandchildren.
The family requests donations to AA Intergroup, 240 S. Montezuma, Suite
#108, Prescott, AZ 86303.
