Steven L. Faatz, age 47, a 3-year resident of Bullhead City, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 22, 2011, in Bullhead City, Ariz.
He was born into the family of man on June 25, 1963, to Wayne and Marilyn Faatz in Bonesteel, South Dakota. He was born again into the family of God not long afterward through the water of Holy Baptism.
Steve and his wife, Denise (Lampman), move their family to Bullhead City in 2008 to enjoy more family time in the Arizona outdoors. Both Steve and Denise are motorcycle enthusiasts. Steve was well-known in Bonesteel, South Dakota area as a skilled carpenter and worked at Wal-Mart after moving to Bullhead.
Steve loved life, his family and his pickups and motorcycles. His zest for life will live on in the memory of his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne.
Steve is survived by his wife of 16 years, Denise; three sons, Dylan, Steven and Jared (Eve) Mitchell; two daughters, Miranda Mitchell and Kilee (Michael) Vogt; three brothers, Harold, Allen, and Clint; two sisters, Linda and Susie; four grandchildren, Sophie, Olivia, Evan and Lexi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial for Steve will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. A light meal will be served in the church social hall following the service for a time of reflection and reminiscence.
