Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Friday, January 28, 2011 Bobby Dalton Cooper Blackwell, 14, died Jan. 24, 2011, in Flagstaff. He was born March 16, 1995, in Norman, Okla., to Tara (Wilson) Blackwell and Jim Blackwell. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His passion in life was to share the message of Christ with all he knew. He was known by his big smile and bubbly personality. He always wanted to make everyone laugh and smile. He began playing baseball at the age of 4 and was looking forward to another season coming up. He also wrestled for about 10 years and loved his wrestling family in Oklahoma. Dalton loved music, reading and video games. Dalton is survived by his parents, Jim and Tara Blackwell; sister Allie Blackwell; paternal grandmother Georgia Blackwell of Octavia, Okla., maternal grandparents Bob and Ginny Wilson of Spring, Texas; uncles and aunts OW and Elaine Thomasson of Newcastle, Okla., Alan and Terri Blackwell of Moore, Okla., Tony and Sharon Lacaze, of Frisco, Texas, Brian and Christy Kannegiesser, of Skiatook, Okla., and Todd and Patsy Wilson of Spring, Texas; nine cousins; and countless friends in Oklahoma and in Flagstaff. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bob Blackwell, and maternal great-grandparents Ken and Ann Wilson. A service to celebrate Dalton's life will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Christ Church in Flagstaff. Interment will be Feb. 3 in Octavia, Okla. A memorial service will also be Saturday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Noble, Okla. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Dalton Blackwell Foundation at any Chase Bank (account No. 2968761821). This foundation will be used to carry on Dalton's passion to share Christ with everyone he met by providing scholarships to Christian leadership and summer camps.
