She was born Sept. 3, 1918, in Seattle, Wash., where she married Chauncey Cydell, now deceased, and resided until her move to Prescott Valley 15 years ago. She is survived by her daughter Patricia; grandson Duane (Linnea); granddaughter Darlene (Kevin); great-grandchildren Erika, Donovan and Hunter; one sister, June; and nephews Jack and Douglas. She will be missed. A memorial service for Gertrude will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at St. Germaine's Catholic Church in Prescott Valley, with a reception immediately following.
