RUIZ, Robert Anthony

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ May 24, 2006 Robert Anthony Ruiz, 43, of Rimrock, died May 15, 2006, at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix. Robert was born Feb. 23, 1963, in Oakland, Calif., and moved to Arizona at 8 months and has been a resident of Sedona and the Verde Valley for many years. He spent most of his life working construction and loved the outdoors. His family called him the Bear. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Bob and Emily Dickey, of Camp Verde; sister, Genevieve Berlin of Mesa; brothers, Frank Ruiz of Denver and Joe Ruiz of Rimrock; and sister, Beverley Dickey of Peoria.
