Friends of longtime Congress resident Ethel VanNornum received news of her death in Michigan on March 4.  She and her husband D. moved to a retirement home in Lowell, Mich., two or three years ago to be closer to their children.  

Services were at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lowell on March 7, following cremation. 

In addition to her husband, she survived by two daughters, Lorraine Smith and Patricia Robinson, and one step-daughter, Joyce Funkey, all of Ionia, Mich.; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
