KELLIS, Leeta Ann


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 26, 1990 Services are pending for Leeta Ann Kellis, 31, of Bagdad, who died April 20 in an accident on her family’s ranch near Bagdad. Mrs. Kellis was the Justice of the Peace in Bagdad, and had served in that position since her election in 1986. Last year she was elected secretary of the Arizona Association of the Justices of the Peace and Constables. She was born Dec. 2, 1958 in Tucson. She was a lifelong resident of Bagdad, graduating from Bagdad High School in 1976. She later attended Yavapai Community College in Prescott. Mrs. Kellis was active in the local 4-H Club, and over the years had won a number of awards in calf and cattle raising. She was also involved in Rainbow Girls, and served as Worthy Advisor and later as a Mother Advisor. She was a member of Eastern Star, and at her death was serving a fourth term as Worthy Matron. Mrs. Kellis was active in the Hilltop Church in Bagdad as a young girl. She is survived by her husband, Stan. C. Neshem of Bagdad; her parents, Ed and Betty Jo Kellis; two brothers, Gilbert and Bert; brothers and sister-in-law Stephen, Stuart, Lowell, Della, Lola Lynnell, Laurie and Londa and numerous other relatives.
