Neva Jean (Rose) Whitman
Born in Melrose, Pa., 12/28/1940, passed away in Dewey, Ariz., 01/31/2011
Neva went to be with her Lord and Savior, believing in God's promise, Philippians 4-6, 7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Her husband Ron of 52 1/2 years survives her, along with three sons, Craig with wife Barbie of Leroy, Texas; Jeff with wife Karen of Dewey, Ariz.; and James with wife Gwen of West Texas; and a sister, Joy Potter, of Susquehanna, Pa.
Neva had seven grandchildren, Al and Talon of Waco, Texas; and Candice, Ulysses, Bart, Alex and Annie of Dewey, Ariz. She had three great-grandchildren. She will be missed most by her granddaughter Annie and daughter-in-law Karen, who were like daughters to her.
Neva had a kind and gentle forgiving heart and will be remembered by all as the Lord's servant wherever she went.
A memorial service will be at Mountain View Southern Baptist Church, 395 S. Pony Place, Dewey Ariz., 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, All are invited to share in the loving memory of Neva.
