Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, February 02, 2011 Winnie J. Johnson, age 100, passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Copper Mountain Inn. She was born in Chisholm, Minn., on June 9, 1910. Winnie Johnson leaves behind in loving memory a granddaughter, Rosemary Johnson of Superior, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Julie Contreras of Superior, Ariz. and Lance Tullis of Superior, Ariz.; and one niece, Karen Hicks of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton Johnson, in 1976, and her son, Anton Johnson, Jr., in 1993. Two sisters, Ione Hicks and Annie Moody, also preceded her in death. Graveside service is Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens, Miami-Superior Highway, Miami, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Winnie J. Johnson were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services.
