Copper Basin News Hayden, Az. ~ 2/3/2011 Eva A. Robles, 88, passed away at her Kearny residence, Monday, Jan. 17, 2011. She was born in Superior on May 31, 1922, and was a devoted homemaker for her family, which includes four sons and a daughter, as well as 19 grandchildren, and 47 great-grandchildren who refer to her as “Tortilla Grandma,” and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robles liked to crochet, play “Bingo!”, and, also, the slot machines. Idelia Vallee, the oldest child, lives in Kearny. Francisco “Frank” (Mary Sue) resides in Battle Mountain, Nevada; Gilbert (Pat) is in San Manuel; Louie and Joe are living in Hayden and Kingman, respectively. There remains an ex-daughter-in-law, Gary Strande, and one sister, Irene Mendenhall. Rosary Service was held at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny, on Thursday, Jan. 20, with the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated, afterward, by Reverend Thomas Dekka. Interment was at Mountain View Cemetery, Hayden. Griffith Mortuary assisted the family.
