HALL, Basil (Max)


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Friday, February 04, 2011 Basil "Max" Hall, 76, formerly of Flagstaff, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, in Clarkdale. He was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Richfield, Utah. While Mr. Hall retired and lived the past 22 years in Clarkdale, he also spent many years in Flagstaff. Throughout his years in Flagstaff, he owned and operated Sutcliffe Floral and Gifts, a business he assumed from his parents in 1974 after he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. His favorite pastime in retirement was making jewelry, silver working and enjoying his family. He was a man with a big heart and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Clarkdale; sons Cal Hall of Fort Collins, Colo., and Bill Hall of Scottsdale; daughter Jean Gibbons of Scottsdale; and eight grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice Compassus of Sedona. A private burial will be Monday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at the Prescott National Cemetery.
