Irma Lopez Free Peacefully passed away and went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2011. Irma, a pioneer Tucsonan was born on June 27, 1917 in Tucson, Arizona to parents, Rosario Lopez and Santos Soto. 

She met her husband, Maurice E. Free in Tucson and they joined hands in holy matrimony on September 5, 1940. Preceded in death by her sisters, Aida Gonzales, Alice Degruccio and brothers, Charlie Lopez, Freddy Lopez, Andy Lopez and Albert Lopez. Irma is survived by daughter, Marta Free Goedhals (Jack) and son, Maurice G. Free and sister-in-law, Lily Lopez Soto, many nieces and nephews, six grandchildren. All who knew Irma especially nephew and niece, Bobo and Patti Lopez will miss her blissful heart and giving ways. 

The family thanks the health caregivers from Patient Care Advocates in her remaining days. A Memorial Mass and celebration of Irma's full life will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church, North Campbell Ave in Tucson. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE CREMATION AND BURIAL.
