Court" Courtlandt P. Pearce Jr. Born in Kansas City, MO on May 29, 1941 he left us here in Tucson, AZ on February 2, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; his son, Buddy; his sister, Mary Jane; and his parents, Henrietta and C.P. Pearce. He has left behind his daughters, Susan (Gary) Coyer, Betsy (Tom) Bell, Margaret (DJ) Sweeten; his grandchildren, Sean, Jacobus, Dan, Clarisa and Amy; his long-time best friend, Maria Floyd; his beloved dog, Oscar and other family members.
He has also left behind a large family of friends. Court made a home in Tucson for most of his life. He loved the area and the people and never wanted to live anywhere else. Until his retirement he made his living as an auto mechanic and was the best there was. He was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Sons of the American Legion, Saguaro Post #68 and proudly served on their board in many capacities including Commander. He was a bigger than life person, always making an impression on those he met and he made friends that would last a lifetime.
A Memorial gathering will be held at ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Arrangements handled by ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL.
