Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, Arizona - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from February 6 to February 13, 2011 - John Jacqu Claude Rateau, age 67, an 8-year resident of Bullhead City, died Monday, January 31, 2011, in Bullhead City, Ariz. John was the second of eight children, born Dec. 24, 1943, in Ontario Canada, and when he was nine, his family moved to Ontario, Calif. John is survived by his three children, daughter, Heidi (Dan) Kumm, and two sons, Derek and James (Mary) Rateau; four grandchildren, Clifford, Krystie, Brianna, and Jason; and great-grandson, Hunter. When John married Charlene on October 14, 2007, he became father to/and survived by, two more girls, Joyce Escher and Crystal Escher; two more grandchildren, Randy (Melanie) and Ashley (Reyes); and five more great-grandchildren, Nick, Ryan, Tristan, Alynsia and Lyla. John was quite a sweet man that everyone loved and respected. Also, he was a proud and decent man who cared about everyone. John will be missed! A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Santiago Rodeo Villas, 2066 E. El Rodeo Rd., Fort Mohave, at The Clubhouse.
