Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, October 28, 2008 Robert Mossman passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter, Christine Martindale, where he and his wife Lila had lived for five years after moving from New Mexico. Mr. Mossman was a World War II veteran of the Pacific Theatre, 19th Army Regiment, where he received the Bronze Star with Bronze Arrowhead. He retired in 1981 from Borg-Warner Los Angeles division after being a manager for 34 years. Mr. Mossman loved the mountains of Groom Creek, where he resided for the last five years, feeding the squirrels and birds and inadvertently the javalenas. Mr. Mossman is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lila, and his children, Fred Mossman of Anaheim, Calif., and his daughter Christine of Prescott. Robert had six grandchildren, John and Chad Becker of Southern California, Joanna Hodson and Chelesy Mossman, also of Southern California, and Matthew Martindale and Mindy Martindale of Phoenix. Robert also had one great-grandchild, Holly Becker of Yorba Linda, Calif. He will be greatly missed. Information provided by survivors.
