James Kenneth (Jim)
James (Jim) Kenneth Larrington age 67, passed away February 8, 2011. Son of Jack and Ethel (Hill) Larrington, Jim was a native Tucsonan.
He attended Mary Lynn Elementary, Wakefield Jr High, Pueblo High and received a BS in Civil Engineering from UofA. He has maintained close friendships from school and from City of Los Angeles, especially the Storm Drain unit.
Returning to Tucson to raise his daughters in 1978, he had a varied career as Pima County engineer, private engineer, real estate investor, house rehabber and his own septic system design business.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Geraldene (GeeGee); daughters, Jane Larrington (Axel Gerber) and Dawn (Alan) Hart; sisters, Marcy (Joel) Windorski and Cecelia (Ben) Crowder; nephews, Kenny and Chris; grand doggies Zoe and Emma and many extended family members.
Jim's many interests included military history, VW engine rebuilding, and dune buggying in CA. In recent years the bounties of nature in Alpine, AZ enchanted him.
Services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N Oracle and W. Miracle Mile, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TROT (Therapeutic Riding of Tucson), 8920 E Woodland Rd, 85749 or a charity of your choice.
