The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 11, 2011 Betty LaCroix, 77, of Mesa died Feb. 3, 2011. She was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Muskogee, Okla. She relocated to Show Low when she retired from Ft. Howard Paper Company in Muskogee, Okla., in the last five years she lived in Show Low and worked at the Humane Society of the White Mountains. She is survived by her daughters: Michele LaCroix of Mesa, and Cynthia Nilles of Mesa; and grandsons Robert Lee Nilles and Kyle Shaw Nilles of Mesa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Harlan and Neva Lee Rappe; and sisters Esther Anderson, Marilyn Marie Drake. Memorial services will be held at 825 S 32nd St. in Mesa at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. In lieu of flowers, a donation was suggested to the White Mountain Humane Society or the Alzhiemer's Association.
