OSKERSON, Allen E. (Pa-Pa Allen)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, February 11, 2011 Allen E. Oskerson 4/20/50 - 2/9/11 Pa-Pa Allen was a man of few words but had a big heart for his children, grandchild, foster and respite children, and was awaiting the arrival of a new great-grandson. He remodeled his home to accommodate the needs of his foster and respite kids, which he dearly enjoyed. He liked to hunt, fish and just being in touch with nature. He could take a piece of wood and turn it into amazing things. He is going to be missed by so many, but, as his little niece said to her mom, "You may have lost your Pa-Pa Allen, but you got a very special angel now." He is survived by his wife, D' Oskerson; children Tammy, Beth (Aaron) and Jon (Ranella); seven grandchildren, Chelsey, Talyssa, Jessica, Tyla, Tristen, Chase and David; one great-grandson-to-be; two sisters; two brothers; and many foster and respite children. He was preceded in death by his daughter Alyssa. The family would like to thank Nurse Sharon and all the hospice staff at the Prescott VA. What great people. The family will celebrate his life between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at his home in Prescott Valley. Please, no flowers. Information provided by survivors.
