Donald James "Don" Battle, age 64, a 23-year resident of Fort Mohave, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011, in Fort Mohave, Arizona.
Donald was born on October 30, 1946, in Culver City, Calif., to Marvin and Iva (Fiser) Battle.
Donald served in the United States Marine Corp for 6 years, two years active, four years reserve. He was a Lance Corporal, and earned many medals including, National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Marksmanship Badge, and Good Conduct Medal.
Donald worked for over 3 years at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nev., as a Table Games Floor Supervisor.
When Donald wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Don was a proud Marine Veteran. He led a good life and raised a great family. He will be missed by all!
Donald is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marilyn; son, Adam Todd (Micheala) Battle of Redding, Calif.; daughter, Amanda Jane (Roger) Zuidema of Redding, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Roger and Norah Zuidema, Brayden and Brennen Battle, Madison and Mason Moore, Alexis, Trenton and Jessica Macready; and four step-children, Denise and Matthew Moore, Chad and Sabrina Macready.
