The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ September 23, 2006 Irmadean J. Preston, of Cottonwood, died Sept. 15, 2006, at age 94. She is survived by her children, John Robert (Dolores) Strickland of California, Loretta (James) Ross of Avon, Deena (Dennis) Patriarca of Virginia; sister Delores Lewis of California; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call Monday, 4-7 p.m., at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. 350, Genesee St. Avon, where her Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment is at Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. P.O. Box 17279, Baltimore, Md., 21203 or the Avon Free Library, 143 Genesee St. Avon, N.Y. 14414.
