HURT, Clarence

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ September 30, 2006 Clarence Hurt, of Phoenix and former resident of the Verde Valley, died Sept. 22, 2006, at the Sherman House Hospice of the Valley. In 1959, he moved his family from Cloverdale, Ind., to Arizona, where he worked for Phoenix Cement in Clarkdale and retired from there in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean; and five children; Judy Edens of Tennessee, Karen Dickens, Dean Hurt, Marcia Hurt and Kathy Diskin, all of Phoenix; one sister, Helen Morgan, of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix AZ 85014
