MOORE, C. Chad


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 10, 1990 Graveside services were April 20 in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, ore. for C. Chad Moore, 72, of Myrtle Point, Ore., who died earlier in April in a Portland Hospital. Mr. Moore was a former winter resident of Wickenburg who served as a security park officer for the Wickenburg Police Department for many years, at the rodeo grounds and R.V. park across Constellation Road. Mr. Moore was born May 29, 1917 in Mercer, Mo., and was raise in Burns, Wyo. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, who was captured and held by the Japanese for 41 months during World War II. He worked as rancher in Wyoming before moving to Alaska in the 1960s. He was a director of safety engineer for the state of Alaska and for the Associated General Contractors in Alaska. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Frances; sons Robert M., James R. and William C., all of Albin, Wyo.; daughter Jane Romerman of Calgary, Alberta, and Marianne Shenefelt of Cheyenne, Wyo.; stepdaughter, Peggy White of Pleasanton, Calif.; stepson, John C. Groves of Seattle; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Division of the American Cancer Society.
