Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 24, 1990 Private services were conducted for Vernon F. Liles, 67, of Wickenburg who died May 9 in Boswell Hospital in Sun City. Mr. Liles was born in 1923 in Big Fork, Arkansas. He had lived in Arizona for the past 11 years, moving from California. He was a retired machinist, working for the S&H Machine Shop in California for 20 years. Mr. Liles was a Navy and Army veteran, serving in World War II and during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church; International Association of Machinists; International Union of Guards and Watchmen; Hassayampa River CB Club; Amateur Radio Club and the Daily Arizona Weathernet Club. Survivors include his wife, Mena, of Wickenburg, son Lloyd Alden Liles of England; two daughters, Gwendolyn sue Ruhling of Missouri and Lana Janette Moscrop of California; three brother, three sisters; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
