Private cremation was conducted of Calvin Lee Barnett, 90, of Congress who died July 4 in Congress.
Mr. Burnett was born Oct. 5, 1899 in Estelen, Texas. He had lived in Arizona for 65 years, moving to Seligman in the mid-1920s from Canyon, Texas.
He was a cowboy who wrangled throughout the state, from the mid-1920s to his retirement in 1960. He was proud of his pioneer’s hunting license and the birthday card he received from the President of the United States on his 90th birthday.
He attended a military academy in Canyon, where his family was very prominent.
Survivors include a son, Boyd L. Dailey of Black Canyon City; two daughters, Joy Ruterman of Sierra Vista, Calif. and Bonnie Bingaman of Washington; a sister, Dell Dillard of Vista, Calif., and 18 grandchildren.

Memorial services for Calvin Lee Barnett, 90, of Congress, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Congress Community Church, pastor Bob Harrison will officiate.
Mr. Barnett died July 4 in Congress.
He was born Oct. 5, 1899 in Estelen, Texas. He moved to the Seligman area in the mid-1920s from Canyon, Texas, and to Congress in 1960.
He was a cowboy who wrangled through Arizona, from the mid-1920s to his retirement in 1960.
He attended military school in Roswell, N.M.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and six sisters.
Survivors include a son, Boyd L. Dailey, of Black Canyon City; two daughters Joy Sue Ruteman of Sierra Vista, Calif., and Bonnie Bingaman of Washington; four sisters, Dele Dillard and Ona Love Haley of Vista, Calif., and Grace Costey and Kate Fulton of Amarillo, Texas; and 18 grandchildren.
