MACDONALD, Virginia Lee


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 19, 1990 Services were Saturday at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott for Virginia Lee MacDonald, 63, of Dewey, who died July 10 in Dewey. The Rev. James Biddeman officiated, with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Glendale. Mrs. MacDonald was born Nov. 8, 1926 in Scottsdale. She was a lifelong resident in Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith R. MacDonald, in 1954. She lived in Wickenburg from 1954 through 1961, where she worked as a medical secretary and was a member of the Las Damas. She also resided in Skull Valley from 1965 through 1977, before moving to Dewey in 1977. Mrs. MacDonald was a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Business Administration. She was world traveler; an oil landscape artist and a collector of antiques. She enjoyed hunting Indian arrowheads and was an animal lover. She spent her summer months in Mexico, halfway between Tijuana and Santa Rosa. Survivors include two sons, Daniel, of Dewey and David, of Fair Oaks; two daughters, Janet Lee Hampton of Flagstaff and Callie (Jenner) Hernandez of Phoenix; and 11 grandchildren.
