Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17 at St. Alban Episcopal Church for Bonnie Colleen (McKinney) Paine-Robertson, 77, who died Aug. 2 in Everett, Wash., following a long illness with cancer.
Immediately following the church service, a memorial service will be conducted at American Legion Post No. 12 in Wickenburg.
Mrs. Paine-Robertson was born Sept. 16, 1922 in La Mesa, Calif.
She and her now-deceased husband, Tommie Paine, owned and operated the old Custard’s Last Stand on the California Highway (West Wickenburg Way), after moving to Wickenburg in 1964.
Mrs. Paine-Robertson worked as a secretary for the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, was a legal secretary to James Corbet, and was a clerk of the Justice Court in Yarnell.
She was a member of the Wickenburg American Legion Post No 12 Auxiliary, serving as past president.
She was a member of St. Alban Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles (Bud) Robertson of Wickenburg; two sons, Patrick Paine of Virginia City, Nev. and Cary Fly of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Cathy Sue (Suzy) Burgin of Snohomish, Wash.; four grandchildren, Shaun Paine of Eureka, Calif., and Courtney, Bridget and Samuel Burgin of Snohomish.
Correction: In the obituary for Bonnie Colleen Paine-Robertson in the Aug. 9 Wickenburg Sun, Mrs. Paine-Robertson’s age was incorrectly reported a 77. Mrs. Paine-Robertson was 67 at the time of her death.
Additional survivors not listed in the obituary include a step daughter, Trudy Hill of Wickenburg; and two step-grandchildren, Dennis and Jason Hill, both of the U.S. Air Force.
