Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church for Theresa Miller, 89, of Wickenburg, who died Aug. 22 in Wickenburg.
Fr. Philip Poirier will officiate, with burial to follow in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born Nov. 24, 1900 in Congress and was a lifelong resident of Arizona.
She lived and worked her entire life in the Congress and Wickenburg areas. She was a well-known chef and had cooked for several of the local guest ranches in the area, and on ranches in Oregon, Colorado and Wyoming.
She attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Prescott.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Frederick Miller, in 1976. The couple was married for 50 years.
She is survived by four sons, Edward Miller of Montezuma Lakes, William A. “Bill” Miller of Show Low, Karl A. Miller of Wickenburg, and Oswald L. Miller of Phoenix; a brother, Lino Madril, and two sisters, Lola Nelson and Ruth Earl, all of Wickenburg; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
