Donald "Don"
Donald "Don" Boyle, of Scottsdale and Forest Lake AZ, was born in Greenport, Long Island, NY on June 24, 1935 and died at home on February 27, 2004.
He spent his youth in several small towns and villages on the Island before his family settled in Sag Harbor.
Asthma brought Don to Arizona in 1955. He spent 34 years with Motorola doing a wide variety of jobs from maintenance, overseeing the building of a factory in Korea, inventor and production manager, before retiring in 1993.
Don is survived by his wife Connie, sons Bryon James "BJ" and Donald Jr; step-daughters Susan (Craig) Brown and Christina Leatherwood. Six grandchildren: PFC Zachary Boyle, Joshua Boyle, Yvonne, Zachary and Kayleigh Brown and Naomi Leatherwood will miss their much-loved Papa.
Services were held on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at Life-Paths Funeral Home, 6812 E. Thomas Rd., Scottsdale (480) 945-4440. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, 85014.
