FARMER, Bill D.


Bill D. Farmer passed away February 25th, 2004, at his home in Mesa, Arizona. Bill graduated from Ira High School then moved to Artesia, New Mexico where he started a career with Dowell Inc. for 35 years. He was very well known in the Rocky Mountains where he worked most of his career. Bill was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Elks Club, and Paradise Valley Golf Course. Bill was an avid golfer and hunter. He enjoyed his time in the mountains camping and traveling in his motor home. He is survived by his wife Sue of 45 years and two daughters Leslie Pfiefer and husband John of Casper, Wyoming, Shauna Ligget and husband Tim of Gilbert, Arizona and one son Jason Farmer and wife Carmen of Queen Creek, Arizona. He has six grandchildren Ryan and Aaron Pfiefer, Mattie and Josh Ligget and Casey and Ainsley Farmer and one sister Lena Clark and her husband Kelton of Ira, Texas and four nephews, their wives and children. He was preceded in death by his parents Whit and Mattie Farmer of Ira, Texas and one brother J. H. Farmer of Abiline, Texas. Funeral services will be held March 6th at the First United Methodist Church in Casper, Wyoming. Memorials can be made in his name to Bustard's Funeral Home 600 CY Avenue, Casper, Wyoming 82601.
