JOBIN, George Henry, Jr.


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, February 13, 2011 George Henry Jobin Jr., 91, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. He was born June 12, 1919, and lived a long and full life. Mr. Jobin was an avid tennis player until he turned 90. He was a Navy pilot during World War II. He held a degree in engineering and worked his whole career in the Detroit automotive industry, designing and selling products. He was a proud lifetime member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He was married to Maggie, the love of his life, for 67 years. He raised three children: George (Kaye), Suzanne and Lisa (John Durham). The Jobins have been the adoring grandparents of 10 and great-grandparents of 11. He was known all his life as a "real handy guy." He was so loved by many and will be so missed by many. Mr. Jobin's memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Flagstaff Federated Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in his memory be sent to the Columbarium Development Fund at Flagstaff Federated Community Church, 400 W.
