LEONARD, Marlene


The Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona - Published on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 - Marlene Leonard, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, in Kingman. Mrs. Leonard was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Belleville, Ill. Marlene was a member of the widow support group in Kingman. She played cards and traveled extensively with her friends she made in this group. She loved doing craft projects and attending her grandchildren's various activities. Marlene touched the hearts of all she met, including her friends and the staff at La Bella Assisted Living in Kingman. All who met her enjoyed her unique laugh and the way she brought humor to all situations, especially in the worst of times. Marlene was married to William C. Leonard for 42 years; together they had two children, David and Anna; five grandchildren, Brian, Corrie, Amanda, Shannon and RJ; and one great-grandchild, Christina. There will be a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. She will be laid to rest with her late husband, William.
