George W. Groce, 72, of Congress died March 14 at his home in Congress.
Mr. Groce was born February 22, 1920 in Saratoga, Texas. He had lived in Arizona for the past year.
He married his wife, Mary Louise Parish, who survives him, on August 31, 1940 in Yakima, Washington.
Mr. Groce was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Ii. He later worked in both the construction industry and agricultural industry as a farmer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and two son-in-laws, Frances G. and Charles Wittenbraker of Congress, and Nancy and William Johnson of Mt. Clemens, Michigan; two brothers, Lee Groce of Conroe, Texas and Charles Bonny of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Bertie Marie McDonald of Cleveland and Mary Beth Red of Conroe, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services were conducted.
All arrangements were made by the Frey Funeral home of Wickenburg.
