DESMIDT, Clayton Donald

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 1, 1992, p. 2 Clayton Donald DeSmidt, 81, of Yarnell, died March 9 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Mr. DeSmidt was born April 20, 1910 in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin. He had lived in Arizona for 18 years, moving to Yarnell in 1974 after residing more than 60 years in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a retired salesman, self-employed in the candy business. He and his wife, Marie Ann Verhage, who survives him, were married for more than 50 years and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James Clayton DeSmidt of Yarnell. Also surviving is a step-sister, Norma Gandre, of Sheboygan. Private services were conducted March 11 in the Memorial Chapel Mortuary in Prescott.
