The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 8, 1992, p. 6 David Michael Woods, 50, of Wickenburg died April 2 at his home in Wickenburg. Mr. Woods was born October 17, 1941 in Riverside, California. He had lived in Arizona for the past 17 years. He served as an artillery mechanic, specializing in rocket launcher trucks, with the U.S. Army in Vietnam for one year, and was later honorably discharged from the reserves in 1972. Mr. Woods enjoyed bass fishing and will be remembered by many local youths for the hours he spent with them teaching them the skill. Survivors include his wife, Sue; two daughters, Cheryl Woods of Wickenburg and April Scott of Ione, California; two sons, Ernie and Andy Allsup, both of Phoenix; his mother, Frances Woods of Riverside; a sister, Cathy Woods of Redlands, California; a brother, John Woods of Lafland, Oregon and three grandchildren. Funeral mass was conducted Tuesday, April 7 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Fr. Mathew Mampara officiated. Private interment followed.
