The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 15, 1992, p. 2 George Mims, 75, of Covina, California died April 10 in Covina. Mr. Mims was born in 1917 in Greenwood, Mississippi. He was a former Wickenburg resident, living in the community from 1934-1952. He worked at the old Braden’s Store as a meat cutter, and later operated the Desert Freeze locker plant. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Castro of Spring Valley, California and Marilyn Jones of West Covina, California; a son, Wayne Mims of Covina; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, California.
