Jerfee Ann Woo Eng of Buckeye, AZ. Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wife passed from this world on Jan. 6, 2004. Born Jan. 22, 1920 in the village of Van Lang near Canton, China to William K. Woo, a schoolteacher and Shie Soo Hoo Woo. She came to Flagstaff, AZ in 1923 and attended and graduated from school there. She was employed by the Bank of AZ in Flagstaff. She also helped out at the family's restaurant. She married her husband Larry Eng on June 6, 1948 in Flagstaff. They had a small grocery store in Phoenix and moved to Buckeye in 1952, where they started Payless Food Market. Later in 1964 they opened Sav-Mart in Buckeye. Jerfee was a hard working woman who always insisted that you always did your best in everything you do. Dedicated to her family, she emphasized honor, integrity, hard work, the value of money and time, education, knowledge, and family to her children and grand kids. She greatly enjoyed plants, flowers, gardening, traveling, family and grand kids. Proceeded in death by her parents, William K. & Shie Soo Hoo Woo, brothers, Judge, Jack, & Jersey Woo, sister Jerry Toy, sons Ace & Duce Eng, daughter Sharolyn Jean Eng, nephew William Woo. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Eng, sons Edwin and Larry B. Eng, daughters Jacque Eng, Carolyn Wong (Sherman), Barbara Jean Young (Randy), grandkids Erin, Stephanie, Crystal & Johnathan Eng, Jennifer & Rachel Eng, Sasha Eng, Nicole Wong, sister Jerver Quen (Ray), sister-in law Helen Woo, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation & rosary Fri Jan 16, 2004 at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Buckeye at 128 S. 3rd St. Funeral services Sat. Jan. 17, 2004 at St Henry's. Burial at the Buckeye Cemetery.
