Marjorie "Marge" W. Nelesen, 80, beloved wife, mother and friend died peacefully in her Phoenix home on Jan. 15, 2004. But her feisty spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Marge was born on Jan. 12, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA and lived the last 52 years in Phoenix with her husband, Albert. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in fashion design. Marge later earned credentials in interior design at A.S.U. and worked in that field after her three daughters were grown. She was a determined bridge player and golfer, an active member of the Duplicate Bridge Club and the Palo Verde Women's Golf League (where she chaired the Ringers, Putts and Birdies Committee). Marge had also been a Girl Scout Leader, belonged to Rotary Arms and a faithful member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Albert J. Nelesen, Jr.; daughters, Donna Nelesen. Denise Nelesen and her partner, Bonnie Dumanis, and Diane Ruble and her husband. Dr. Bill Green; and brother. Wilton Woodburn; sister-in-law, Nancy Klotz; cousins, Shirley Honold and Janet and Denny Duebner. Her sister, Peg, died in childhood. Marge is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many great friends. A memorial service, followed by a light meal, was held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 at Our's Saviours's Lutheran Church, 1212 E. Glendale Ave. in Phoenix.
