GREENE, Paul Russell

Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory Wickenburg, Arizona Paul Russell Green January 10, 1922 - February 15, 2011 Paul Russell Greene was born January 10, 1922 in Indian Creek, Illinois to George Greene and Julia Wadell Greene. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in conjunction with the Airforce in Burma as an electrician on the aircraft from 1944 to 1946. He received several citations for his service including 3 overseas service bars, 2 bronze battle stars and the WWII Victory and a Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Arizona 53 years ago from Illinois. Russ owned and operated Wickenburg Electric from 1963 to 1986. He was active in Boy Scouting and served as a leader in scouting for years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Pearl. He later married Margaret Phelan in 1985 and after he retired they moved to Congress. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Dave Robsinson officiating.
